I Love ILIA Beauty!

I was super lucky (and extremely happy!) to get a hold of these 2 samples for blog review recently and I am so excited to share them with you!

If you haven’t heard of ILIA Beauty, they are an ethical and sustainable beauty brand with a focus on combining organic ingredients with contemporary fashion. They use 85% certified organic bio-active botanicals in their beauty formulas so their products work to nourish your skin while you wear them.

I received one of their Tinted Lip Conditioners in Blossom Lady and a Multi-stick (Lip, Cheeks, Eyes, etc.) in I Put a Spell On You.

My thoughts on ILIA are they have seriously covered all the bases with their products, at least the two I’ve had the chance to try out. The formulas are extremely smooth and the Multi-Stick has just the right amount of shimmer without being glittery to give off a nice glow, but not exacerbate or give unwanted attention to breakouts or scarring. Also, unlike some multi-stick types, this works well as a cheek tint over face powder without giving your powder a caked over look when applied which I find seriously impressive! As a cream shadow, it looks pigmented, natural and pretty. It definitely requires a primer to avoid near instant creasing, but that’s to be expected with a cream type product in my opinion. As an eye shadow primer, it works great as well. It works nicely on the lips, though not as moisturizing as the lip conditioner, but still quite nice for an all-in-one type product and still beats most others I’ve tried.

The Tinted Lip Conditioner is SO creamy, subtle and lovely. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of your typical lipstick. It seriously offers some much needed moisture to my lips while lending a really natural color. It’s very wearable for day or nighttime and I’ve taken to keeping it in my makeup bag so I can reapply this throughout the day. I love that it’s pretty much a lip balm with color. It looks somewhere between a matte and a cream base and isn’t drying at all like most lipsticks tend to be.

Swatches:

Blossom Lady (Left), I Put a Spell On You (Right)

I highly recommend these two because they work well together, alone, or with other makeup products and they are made with a lot of integrity – sustainable, ethical and 85% certified organic bio-active botanicals in every product they release.
