Delicious Summer

Alima Pure Delicious Summer Collection

I was super excited when I received some press samples of the new Delicious Summer Collection from Alima Pure the other day for review.

This collection seems to be a bit more simple than other collections, but, somehow, it’s my favorite one yet because of the lovely colors included in it!

Included in this Collection:

  • Milkshake Eyeshadow is almost-matte, but the creamy beige is punctuated with scattered silver sparkles.
  • Coffee Frappé Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow is a medium golden brown, loaded with golden shimmer.
  • Strawberry Lemonade Luminous Shimmer Blush is a peachy-pink with a whisper of shimmer.

Swatches of the Collection:

@AlimaPure Delicious #Summer Collection #swatches! Top to bottom - Coffee Frappe, Milkshake, & Blush in Strawberry Lemonade. All limited edition coming out early June! Stay tuned at StorybookApothecary.com to find out more! #makeup

From Top to Bottom: Coffee Frappé, Milkshake, & Strawberry Lemonade.

What I really love about this collection is that all the colors are very natural looking and I think they would be super flattering on any skin tone or type. They’re very soft pigments and the 2 neutral eye shadows – Milkshake and Coffee Frappé are both very natural looking, yet the colors have a lot of dimension to them so, together, they actually give eyes a lot of depth and shape. The colors look great during the day or at night as well and you can easily keep the colors very natural during the day and then layer some of the Coffee Frappé shadow a bit heavier for a more smokey night makeup look.

The peachy pink blush, Strawberry Lemonade, looks very glowy and soft, but not glittery. I’m not a fan of too much glitter or overdone sparkle. In the swatches, the blush looks more matte than it actually is on the skin. On the skin, it looks more glowy and soft as opposed to matte, even though the color isn’t super shimmery. Alima Pure have a way of doing just that right amount of shimmer in their blushes to create the perfect look that everyone wants in a blush. It doesn’t look overwhelming or plastered on – it just gives a natural flush to the cheeks which is quite lovely.

I was going to post an Instagram photo on here of me wearing all these in a makeup look, but I can’t get it off instagram for some reason so, if you want to see that look, check out my Instagram page – here.

Overall, this collection is really beautiful for Summer, especially if you want that very natural, subtle glow makeup look. It’s great for those who like the “no makeup” makeup look or anyone who enjoys glowing skin, neutral eyes, and colors that will suit anyone really well.

You can check out this collection on Alima Pure – here.

Hello Kitty Velcro Hair Bows – 3 Pack

Over my birthday weekend back in April, I went for a little shopping at Sephora and picked up these super cute Hello Kitty velcro hair bows.

If you are unfamiliar with what velcro hair tools are, they are basically a simple alternative you can use to hold your hair back instead of using bobby pins or hair bands. These are most commonly used to hold hair back while washing your face, but you can use them as you like. I personally use these to hold my hair up when I can’t find a hair band or when I wash my face. It may seem really odd to put velcro in your hair, but they are super handy and they’re surprisingly a lot gentler on hair than hair bands and pins which tend to pull and tug on hair and can cause headaches. These stay in place really well without any of the tension and pressure of other hair accessories which I really love.

Also, if you have a fringe or bangs or short layers, these are actually a lot more effective at keeping hair off your face when you’re cleansing or applying makeup.  In fact, I think that may actually be what they were initially marketed for in Asia, but don’t quote me on that!

I’ve used hair velcro tools before so I was excited to find these really adorable bow shaped velcros from HK and I’m excited that they seem to be going more mainstream since HK is offering them in Sephora now. I previously purchased my rectangle hair velcros by Japanese company Dariya from Asian beauty sites, Ebay or Amazon because they used to be the only ones who offered this sort of thing, but it is really cool to see they are more readily available to US consumers now as I find these hair velcros to be cute, fun and very useful!

If you are interested in purchasing these hair bow velcros from Hello Kitty, they are available at Sephora, but it looks like their online site is currently sold out of them. The only other places I can find them online are on Amazon or Ebay, but if you have one near you, I’d get them at Sephora as they are a lot cheaper (around $15, I think, for the pack) whereas they’re around $20 on Ebay and Amazon. If you don’t really care for the shape of the velcros, you can get rectangle shaped hair velcros or simple bow shaped ones on Amazon & Ebay for $2-$3.

Real Techniques Core Collection

{ This is NOT a sponsored post. I am not affiliated or associated with this company at all. I purchased these makeup brushes of my own free will and with my own money. As always, all opinions stated in this and any of my posts are completely my own. }

Everyone in the “blogosphere” has raved on and on about these incredible brushes from YouTube E-famous Pixiwoo’s Samantha Chapman – the Real Techniques makeup brush line – and after long last I have finally been able to get hold of some to see for myself!

I picked up their Core Collection and Expert Face Brush from Ulta and the first thing that really impressed me are the prices of these brushes. They are along the same price point of Eco Tools ( a big favorite of mine ) – around $8-$10 for a single brush and around $20 for a set of 3-4 brushes. The brushes alone look to be of very high quality and after using them, I find them to be very durable with little to no shedding from the bristles. The bristles are very soft and fluffy, but super dense and compact.

Included in the Core Collection:

  • Detailer Brush – Awesome for using eye shadow in crease, with cream eye shadow, or to conceal spots on the face. Although they market this as a concealer brush mainly, I wouldn’t use it to conceal under my eyes. I tried it and found it to be way too small and left the product looking streaky.
  • Pointed Foundation Brush – Although they market this as a foundation brush, I am not a huge fan of typical foundation brushes. I preferred to use this as an under eye concealer brush and it worked fantastically for that purpose.
  • Buffing Brush – This is a great multi-purpose brush for bronzer, blush or mineral foundation powder. I have used it for all 3 of these and it has worked really well. My only advice for using this with bronzer or blush is that you don’t need a massive amount of product. This brush is really good at utilizing a small amount of product for just the right amount of color payoff so there’s no need to pick up a ton of product because it will end up packing on way too much. This is also brilliant for full coverage powder foundation application – I used it with my Alima Pure Mineral Foundation and it came out really nice.
  • Contour Brush – This is one of the main brushes in this set that I was pretty excited to try out. It actually works just as they advise. It works great for contouring on the face and only a little bit of product is needed to create a nice diffused look. I really love it! Now all I need is a good contour powder! Any recommendations? Please leave them in the comments below!!
  • Panoramic Brush Case + Stand – This case is surprisingly nice and simple, but multi-functional. I was really surprised because it’s a simple fold up makeup case for the brushes, but one end can be flipped back which turns the case into a little stand for the brushes. It’s really quite a nice touch and it gives good value to this set.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

The other brush I picked up was their Expert Face Brush which has gotten really great reviews for it’s application of face products, in general, but namely liquid and cream type foundations. I haven’t used this for liquid foundation yet, but I have used it loads of times now with my RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up which gave me great results.  This brush is quite short, but the bristles are super densely packed so you have a lot of control. I find that with longer bristle face brushes, it’s really easy to feel like you don’t have much control because they are easily bent every which way. This one makes application easy, seamless and streak free without much effort or skill.

Overall, I really love these brushes. They are super unique in design, in my opinion, because they are made to help everyday makeup users such as myself apply products with ease and they definitely succeed in that. A lot of times, makeup brush brands generally all look the same and have the same function, but I really love that these brushes deviate a bit and offer brushes that are easy for the everyday person to use. I think these would be fantastic for anyone who is new to using makeup and makeup brushes because they are super easy to use and they are very affordable. They are sold in a number of places online, including on their own Real Techniques home site and even now Walmart’s online shop even offers them.  I’m not sure if Walmart has them in store yet, but you can find them in Ulta or Boots, if you have those near you.

What do you think of makeup brushes?

Do you use them or do you prefer using your hands or Q-tips?

Have you ever tried these Real Techniques brushes?

If not, what’s your favorite makeup brush brand?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

What Happens When Skincare + Foundation Have A Baby? – RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Review

RMS Un-Cover Up – 11

{This is not a sponsored post. I purchased this item with my own money of my own free will. I am not associated or affiliated with anyone mentioned in this post, other than Beauty Habit, who I occasionally get sent samples from for review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are honest and completely my own.}

I recently picked the RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Cream Foundation + Concealer in shade 11 at Beauty Habit and I am loving this!

One thing I really love about it is that, for being totally natural and organic, it has fantastic coverage, finish and it actually benefits the skin while you’re wearing it.

First off, if you’re unfamiliar with the RMS Beauty brand, it is a totally organic and natural beauty brand that offers pretty synergistic products. Some are simply skincare types while others are makeup products infused with skincare benefits. They mainly utilize the brilliance of organic coconut oil to offer tinted balms, concealer + foundation, lip and cheek tints, and cream eye shadows.

RMS Un-Cover Up Impressive Ingredients List:
*Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol(non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499].

The Un-Cover Up is a product I have been wanting to try for ages, but it is a little price for a small pot of it ( $36 ) so I wanted to wait for a special occasion and I finally got it for my birthday!

I was really skeptical when I first received this in the mail because #1 I had never actually tried a cream foundation before and I was worried it might break me out and #2 It was pretty expensive and while my expectations were high due to the hype surrounding this product, so were my doubts.

I am so thrilled this actually turned out to be a fantastic base product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants natural looking, but decent coverage in a foundation that will benefit your skin over time and has minimal ingredients.

The finish of this is very smooth on the skin and surprisingly hydrating. It seems like it would be oily on the skin, but it actually only looks dewy if you apply a few layers. If you apply a thin layer, it dries down to a soft focus, almost matte finish. I think this would be awesome for any skin type and it won’t clog pores or irritate skin at all. It can be used with or without a separate concealer – I’ve used it alone and with another concealer without any trouble and both looked really nice.

Overall, I really love this product!

It’s great for days when I really don’t want to wear makeup, but still want to look put together.

I love that it is capable of full coverage, but will let my skin breathe and I love that it has minimal ingredients. Lastly, I really love that it has a base of coconut oil which hydrates and conditions the skin while I wear it. If you want a makeup base product that is organic, has minimal ingredients, and will benefit rather than harm your skin in the long run, it’s absolutely worth a try. My only major complaint for this product is that the shade options are minimal and they don’t have any options for darker skin tones so it’s not really suitable for women of color or who have dark tans. I really hope they come out with more shades so everyone can give this a go because it’s fantastic!

TONS of Naruko Skincare Samples: Speed Reviews

{All Naruko Skincare Samples were Provided for Review by Naruko USA}

If you’ve been following this blog for awhile, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of Naruko skincare. Their favorite products are the night jellies that they offer, but they also have various lines of skincare for different skin types, issues and concerns and I was lucky this past winter/ spring season to be able to test out a few of them for a few months.

Here’s a look at everything I received for review. Naruko has been super generous to me and I couldn’t be more grateful to have the opportunity to try more of their products because they are a brand that I would purchase from no matter what. If you’re unfamiliar with this brand, Naruko is a Taiwanese beauty brand that mainly offer a variety of skincare products for all your skin concerns including acne, dry skin, discoloration or pigmentation, and more. The brand is known for selling products that are naturally effective and include a variety of all natural ingredients combined with some scientific research to ensure the best results for your skin.

Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Hydrating Cream

The first item I tested out was their Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Hydrating Cream. It comes in an air tight plastic container which dispenses the perfect amount of cream out of a hole in it’s center when you press down on the top. It’s really sanitary and effective way to keep your cream clean as well as keep it from oxidation which will make ingredients less effective over time so I really like the packaging for it’s practical function. Aside from the packaging, this is a great cream for those with dry skin or combination skin who are dry in the winter or spring seasons. I got really super dry skin this past winter and this was a really nice cream to keep my skin from dehydration.

Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Hydrating Mask

I absolutely love sheet masks! They are super easy to use, effective and very mess-free. They come in rectangle envelopes with face shaped cotton masks that are pre-soaked in the mask ingredients so you literally just pull them out, place them on your face and relax for 10-15. A lot of them don’t even need to be rinsed off, though you can if you’d prefer to. This one is super hydrating and softening.

Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Foaming Wash

This face wash was hit and miss for me. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the gratifying peeling that happened when I used it. It basically lathers up really nicely and when you massage it onto your skin, it starts to peel the dead skin off your face to reveal brighter skin beneath and you can literally see the skin coming off in little pieces. It’s not painful and there’s very little to no abrasion going on so it’s done more chemically than anything. It doesn’t feel like a face scrub much at all so, if you’re not into scrubs, this doesn’t feel like that. Instead, it just massages dead skin off your face and reveals new skin after. I really liked the peeling bit of this face wash, but as for treating dryness, it was not nearly as much hydration as I wanted and needed in a winter cleanser. I actually think face balms work much better for me than this, which I found to be brightening, but still a bit drying. It may work better for others, but for me, it didn’t hydrate enough. This might be great for those who battle oily skin, but also have dryness.

Tea Tree Oil Out Peeling Gel

This is another peeling type product that’s super fun to use. It does feel more like a scrub as it has tiny little beads in the formula, but they aren’t rough at all to use. To use this, you apply a small amount to skin and massage it around your face gently (avoiding eye area) for a minute or so. You will see small pieces of skin come off in the same way as the face wash and you need to rinse after using this to get all the little pieces completely off. I liked this better than the face wash, but it still didn’t hydrate my skin enough. I really just enough the scent of the Naruko tea tree products, to be honest. This is a great one for acne prone skin types.

Rose & Snow Fungus Classic Hydrating Night Eye Gelly

This hydrating night eye jelly is perfect for under the eyes. It’s super thick and goopy feeling, but it will soak in completely within an hour so that does go away eventually. It really does hydrate the eye area and protect it nicely. It didn’t cause breakouts on my skin at all so that’s a great bonus for those who have dry under eyes, but experience eye sensitivity and acne, because it’s very hydrating without being heavy or causing irritation.

Rose & Snow Fungus Classic Hydrating Night Gelly

Although this hasn’t taken the place of my favorite night jelly, it’s still a really lovely Night Jelly and it’s especially beneficial for dry skin types or those currently experiencing dryness. It has a really lovely, yet subtle rose scent and feels hydrating, but light on the skin.

AMPM Super Triple HA Skin Hydrator Seru

AMPM Super Triple HA Skin Hydrator

This very hydrating, yet light serum has a high concentration of B vitamins and hyaluronic acid to help hydrate, plump, and soothe skin. I really like how light this serum is, despite the fact that it’s very moisturizing. I think this is perfect for combination and oily skin types who have trouble finding serums that both hydrate the skin and are not super heavy. This is a great one for those who have trouble with heavier moisturizers, but still want a hydrating serum to use.

Facial White Illuminating Cotton Pads

The last item I received is this box of texturized cotton pads that are unique to Naruko. They are dual sided with one side being very smooth and one side being cross-hatched for gently buffing the skin. These are fantastic to use with facial toners or to remove makeup because the cross-hatched side really buffs the skin clean and gently exfoliates while the smooth side polishes and smooths the surface. I really saw a huge difference in my skin with using these alongside a toner and I definitely think they’re worth the little extra cost.

Overall, these products from Naruko, unsurprisingly, were really awesome. They all work really well at hydrating the skin and putting some life into otherwise dry skin cells. I definitely had an issue with dryness this past season and these products all helped a lot. I don’t think there was anything I really loved out of this bunch, but they’re all pretty solid as good skincare choices in my book. I don’t think I’d use them in the Summer time really as my skin can’t really handle it and prefers oils to lotions. I know that sounds weird and backward, but that’s how my skin is. If I had to pick favorites, I would choose the Night Eye Jelly, the Tea Tree Peeling Gel and the Cotton Pads, but these are all worth a look if hydration is what you need so definitely give them a look!

Lovely and Long Lasting Natural Korean Beauty Products – A CLIO Makeup Review {GIVEAWAY} !

Kill Black/Brown Waterproof Brush Liner and Mascara Set

{ These items were provided for review by Peach and Lily as were the giveaway items! }

I’m so excited to finally review these products I received for review from Peach & Lily! If you don’t know already, I love Asian beauty products and Korean beauty is often the height in cutting edge beauty products because they are always coming out with great new products that do insane, yet amazing things for you beauty-wise whilst still managing to look natural.

Clio Makeup has definitely held up to this ideal when it comes to Korean makeup products.

The first item I received is a 2 piece set with the Clio O’Tank Volume Mascara in Black and the Clio Waterproof Eyeliner in Kill Brown. Both are equally amazing! The color for both is very pigmented and lasts all day long without smudging, creasing or fading.

The mascara has this well-designed curved mascara wand which helps to curl lashes during application and it works incredibly well. Although I have naturally long lashes, they tend to point down and fall down by the end of the day. I actually think this mascara has taken the place of my favorite Dior Extase Mascara and that’s saying something!

The liquid eyeliner is super easy to use for getting a very thin or thick line, whatever you like. It has that felt tip marker design to it so it’s application is simple, even for newbies to liquid liner. I love that this lasts for hours and hours because I have pretty oily eyelids which tend to crease, smudge and fade any eye makeup within an hour, but this actually lasts all day long. Another thing is that, although the color is a natural brown ( I personally prefer black liners ), it’s still really pigmented and a very rich dark brown color. It looks intense while still looking natural enough for daytime makeup.

You can check out this set on Peach and Lily – here.

Friday Glow Liquid Shadow

The last item I received was this Clio Friday Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Deepen Brown. I’ve never tried a full on liquid eye shadow before so it was fun to try out something entirely new  and this did not disappoint! It’s incredibly pigmented, but you can apply small amounts of it if you want a lighter color payoff so it’s very customizable for different color intensities. I used it once for a lighter brown color and simply used less of the liquid on my eye and patted it in. I also tried the more intense full color which was very rich in color, but still pretty natural looking. I don’t think the full color could be worn during the day, but definitely would work well for neutral looks in the evening. It comes with an easy to use applicator that applies to the eyes easily without much difficulty. My only advice is to use less at first then build because the color payoff is really shockingly bold, despite being a natural shimmery brown color.

You can check out this Clio Friday Glow Liquid Shadow – here.

Eye Studio® Color Tattoo® 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

{ Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow – Bad to the Bronze }

I know my blog is not typically about drugstore beauty, but I really had to mention these as I have been using the ones I got recently quite a bit and loving it!

They are the 24Hr Color Tattoos by Maybelline. I’ll be honest and say I initially thought all the buzz online about these was pretty stupid. It all sounded pretty market-speak-y and I’m not a huge fan of that crap, but then I did actually try some of my friends and really liked how pigmented and wearable they are so I picked some up at target for myself.

Eye Studio® Color Tattoo® 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

What I know about these cream shadows so far is that they have amazing color payoff and they’re shimmery instead of glittery, unlike many cheap drugstore eye shadows. They have a huge range of colors for a very low price ( $6-$10 USD, depending on where you shop ) and my favorite use for them is to apply as a base for any eye makeup looks because they really do help powder shadow adhere to your eyes for hours and hours. Not only that, but it’s definitely the first I’ve experienced where my eye makeup did not crease at all on a hot day (95 degrees F in California) and when it finally started to wear off, it faded really nicely so it still looked nice on my eyes instead of all creased and caked like most.

Eye Studio® Color Tattoo® 24HR Cream Gel Shadow

As I’m not a fan of wearing eye shadow primers, I find these work really nicely as a replacement or alternative if you prefer to pass on expensive eye primers or want something that can double up and multi-task as both cream shadow and a base. This is a really multi-functional makeup product that is pretty affordable for nearly everyone and helps streamline eye makeup application and longevity of your eye makeup looks overall. I highly recommend these if you can get a hold of some to try out. They are super affordable and the quality and uses for them is well worth the value to me.

Check them out at your local pharmacy/drugstore, Target, CVS, etc. or you can also find them online at Drugstore.com, Beauty.com, Target.com and loads of other places.

Disclaimer: I was not paid in any way to post on this nor were samples sent. I purchased these with my own money and of my own free will. My opinions and thoughts are honest and, as always, entirely my own.

Aurelia Miracle Skin Cleanser

{ This cleanser was provided to me by Aurelia Skincare for review }

I’m super excited to share the latest face cleanser I’ve been testing out by Aurelia Skincare!

The Miracle Cleanser, as they call it, is definitely one to obsess over!

First off, Aurelia Skincare offer a number of skincare products which all focus on offering natural healing to the skin.

They seek to achieve this by utilizing natural Bio-Organic plant essences and oils in their product formulations as well as their own unique probiotic technology which helps balance stressed skin in order to allow your skin to reap the most benefits from these valuable natural ingredients.

It’s all very high tech and complicated, but the idea is that your skin can be damaged over time by stress, inflammation, and other factors caused by diet, the environment, etc. and which can cause skin issues such as premature aging, acne, and redness and the technology combined with the ingredients in the Aurelia Skincare products seek to correct and heal these issues in order to bring new life to your skin.

Utilizing a number of plant oils and essences including coconut oil, shea butter, chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary, and bergamot, this super creamy cleanser is very softening, hydrating, and healing. It feels a lot like a cross between using Pond’s cold cream and the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish because it feels super creamy and lotion-like, but it’s quite cleansing and has a similar scent to the Cleanse & Polish.

What I really love about this cleanser is the fact that when I use it with my clarisonic, it leaves my skin super soft, calm and hydrated.

The Liz Earle sometimes made my skin a bit dry, but this does not at all. I also really enjoyed using the muslin cloth they sent with this cleanser as well because it also gives the skin that smooth, soft feel while still gently exfoliating.

It seems like it would be a great way for sensitive skin to exfoliate without causing irritation.

Last of all, I’ve been using this quite regularly and I have experienced very little to no breakouts at all in the entire time which seriously impresses me, especially given that this cleanser is so thick and creamy so I highly recommend this cleanser as one that any skin type can try comfortably.

Check it out on the Aurelia Skincare website – here.

You can also learn more about the cleanser in a video they’ve done on it – here.

Nuxe Aroma Perfection Masque Unclogging Thermo Actif Face Mask

I was super excited when The Beauty Box sent me this awesome face mask by Nuxe Skincare as I’d never tried a Nuxe product before, but I’d heard loads of good things around many of the blogs that I follow.

First off, if you’re unfamiliar with Nuxe Skincare, they are a higher end skincare company that offer tons of beauty products, especially skincare, and often feature many botanical ingredients in their product formulations.

This face mask – the Aroma Perfection Unclogging Thermo Actif Mask – includes a variety of skin beneficial ingredients such as kaolin clay, rice powder, various plant extracts, hyaluronic acid, and various natural acids to help slough off dead skin cells and reveal healthier, clearer and more even toned skin that is hydrated and radiant.

The mask itself feels really gooey, but has a sandy like texture that feels a lot more like a scrub than a face mask. When applied to skin, it immediately warms up so you definitely feel the “thermo actif” bit they mention in the name. It doesn’t burn or anything – it just feels quite warm. It’s meant to be massaged into the skin gentle for about a minute or so and then left on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off.

I really love that this feels like a face scrub and mask in one and the heating bit is really a nice touch that makes you feel like the mask is “working,” but the effects speak for themselves. After using this, my skin felt soft, hydrated, calm and clear, and more even toned. This is a fantastic face mask to use if you are short on time, but want to get the quick results that more time consuming face masks will give you because this does it in less time.  Another great thing about this mask is that it’s one of the more affordably priced items from Nuxe so you don’t have to break the bank to get hold of one. It’s a simple way to exfoliate and treat your skin all at once and I definitely recommend it.

You can check it out on The Beauty Box – here.

Activaroma Pure Argan Oil

I was recently sent a small sample of this Pure Argan Oil from Activaroma by The Beauty Box and have really loved using it.

If you’re unfamiliar with argan oil, it’s an oil that comes from the nuts of the argan trees found in Morocco. What marks argan oil as unique from some other various plant oils is the fact that argan has an especially high content of vitamin E and essential fatty acids which are critical for restoring dryness and damage in skin.

Activaroma says that this oil will diminish fine lines and wrinkles, heal spots and blemishes, stretch marks and scars, and restore strength to brittle hair and nails.

I’ve been using this in various ways for about a month and I really do like this oil. The sample I received was pretty small so I haven’t experimented with it on my body or hair as there was not really enough oil to go around, but on my face and nails, this was lovely.

It is very hydrating to the skin while also feeling light and definitely helps combat dryness and dull skin. I really felt like it made my skin look more dewy, glowy and just overall more healthy in condition. I have combination acne prone skin, but this didn’t irritate or break me out – actually I’m convinced it’s helped my breakouts heal more quickly. It smooths the skin’s texture and seems to make scars lessen, though I’m not sure if it would make them diminish completely as I’ve run out of oil. As for my nails, this oil is fantastic for dry cuticles and nails and really does seem to strengthen them.

The full size bottle of this oil comes in a 2 ounce glass bottle which looks pretty luxurious – much like a classy bottle of perfume. I would really enjoy putting it on display as the packaging is really lovely. My only complaints about this oil are that the oil isn’t organic and there’s no note on the sustainability of how it was sourced or grown which I personally like to know about. Also, it’s pretty steep at $55 for 2 ounces of argan oil, but the quality and effectiveness is certainly there so if the price and origin of the product don’t bother you, I say go for it because it’s absolutely a quality product.
