Should Storybook Apothecary Make a Bronzing Oil? + A Fun Contest!

So, in this post, I am asking for your help!

I have been toying with this idea for awhile and it really started keeping me awake at night ever since I did this post and talked about my obsession with bronzing oils, multi-use oils and body oils such as the ones by Josie Maran and Nuxe.

Should I make and offer a bronzing oil or even a multi-use body oil at Storybook Apothecary?

Or otherwise, I can simply do a DIY post on it and teach you all how to make your own at home!

And if I should offer one, which of these bottles is prettiest to hold the lovely oil?

Best/Most intriguing/Hilarious / Witty Answer wins a free full size bottle of either the NEW Storybook Apothecary  multi-use oil/body oil/bronzing oil/ whatever or a full size of the DIY version that I decide to make in one of these pretty bottles!

Okay & Go!

Nuxe Paris Huile Prodigieuse (Prodigious Oil in case anyone cares) Multi-Usage Dry Oil

As soon as it starts to get really tropical feeling here in California (about now), I start to want all my products to have some sort of beachy theme or sunny function.

It’s likely due to the fact that I haven’t had a vacation in over 2 years that I want to create my own little tropical getaway vicariously through dry shimmer oils, bronzers and coconut and monoi de tahiti scented lotions and body sprays.

And it’s even more so when they come out with these lovely all in one oils, like this one from Nuxe Paris, and worse yet when they come out with one that has a golden shimmer to it.

What is it with me and shiny things?!

I just look at it and go “Ooo! Glitter! Pretty! Want!”

And it’s de-evolution all over again.

I know, human nature right?

And finally, their 20th Anniversary Edition is even more lovely still!

Anyhow, is there any beauty product you currently want due to the lovely warm (or in my case, miserably hot) weather we’ve been having?

Happy Friday !

Tropical Smoothie Recipe for a Hot California Day!

It is SO HOT today in Southern California!

I was sweating at 9 in the morning.

Freaking ridiculous, but sunny and nice at the same time.

Anyway, I always love making smoothies in the summertime because they are a great way to stay hydrated AND they taste delicious!

They are much healthier option than many other frozen treats such as ice cream, ICEEs or other sugar-filled desserts and they taste great!

This one is super easy; I threw it together in a matter of 5 minutes with stuff I had in my fridge.

Ingredients:

  • Frozen Peaches – 1/4 Small 8 Oz. Bag or however many you like!
  • 5-8 Strawberries – I used fresh, but frozen is fine too.
  • Splash of Almond Milk – Unsweetened
  • 1/4 Cup No Sugar Added Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Tbs. Plain 2% Greek Yogurt – I used Fagé

Directions:

Throw it all in the blender and blend away until fully mixed and puree at the desired consistency. I like mine thick and creamy, which is why I use a Boba straw.

Stay Beautiful
