I am so excited to share one of my favorite shopping sites online when I’m looking for beauty bargains! This is not a sponsored post – I haven’t been paid or given anything to write about them – I just had to share this site with you all because it’s that good.

I did write about this site last year, but then, I didn’t have many viewers then and I imagine the post floated out into the interwebs completely unnoticed so I thought I’d write about it again because you all need to get in on the amazing offers of this site!

First of all, they carry every brand you could want, especially more expensive designer brands like Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, NARS, Armani, Guerlain, Lancome, and Make Up Forever as well as other more indie brands such as Korres, Becca Cosmetics, OCC Makeup, and Bdellium makeup brushes. Aside from that awesomeness, they also offer drugstore brands at even lower price points than they already are at the drugstore!

Becca Cosmetics Balearic Love Palette

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me post about getting the Becca Balearic Love Palette for $24.99 ( it normally retails at around $42-$45 ) and I got it from All Cosmetics Wholesale which is nearly half price!

The only downside to this site is that they don’t always have what you want. In fact, a lot of their items are marked down because they’re from last season or they’ve been discontinued and they’re selling off a limited number that they have on hand. Also, I’ve seen some brands are marked down a lot more than others. For instance, Dior is only slightly marked down on some items whereas Korres is marked down to nearly 1/2 price so it just depends on the item and brand. To get the best price possible, I would use google to price compare so you can ensure it’s worth your money.

You can check out a total list of brands at All Cosmetics Wholesale – here.

Aurelia Miracle Skin Cleanser

{ This cleanser was provided to me by Aurelia Skincare for review }

I’m super excited to share the latest face cleanser I’ve been testing out by Aurelia Skincare!

The Miracle Cleanser, as they call it, is definitely one to obsess over!

First off, Aurelia Skincare offer a number of skincare products which all focus on offering natural healing to the skin.

They seek to achieve this by utilizing natural Bio-Organic plant essences and oils in their product formulations as well as their own unique probiotic technology which helps balance stressed skin in order to allow your skin to reap the most benefits from these valuable natural ingredients.

It’s all very high tech and complicated, but the idea is that your skin can be damaged over time by stress, inflammation, and other factors caused by diet, the environment, etc. and which can cause skin issues such as premature aging, acne, and redness and the technology combined with the ingredients in the Aurelia Skincare products seek to correct and heal these issues in order to bring new life to your skin.

Utilizing a number of plant oils and essences including coconut oil, shea butter, chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary, and bergamot, this super creamy cleanser is very softening, hydrating, and healing. It feels a lot like a cross between using Pond’s cold cream and the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish because it feels super creamy and lotion-like, but it’s quite cleansing and has a similar scent to the Cleanse & Polish.

What I really love about this cleanser is the fact that when I use it with my clarisonic, it leaves my skin super soft, calm and hydrated.

The Liz Earle sometimes made my skin a bit dry, but this does not at all. I also really enjoyed using the muslin cloth they sent with this cleanser as well because it also gives the skin that smooth, soft feel while still gently exfoliating.

It seems like it would be a great way for sensitive skin to exfoliate without causing irritation.

Last of all, I’ve been using this quite regularly and I have experienced very little to no breakouts at all in the entire time which seriously impresses me, especially given that this cleanser is so thick and creamy so I highly recommend this cleanser as one that any skin type can try comfortably.

Check it out on the Aurelia Skincare website – here.

You can also learn more about the cleanser in a video they’ve done on it – here.

Have You tried Aurelia Skincare?

Any thoughts on probiotics being utilized in skincare?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!

8 Beauty Picks for Earth Day

Troubled Skin Serum With Frankincense and Tamanu

Troubled Skin Serum With Frankincense and Tamanu

This Troubled Skin Serum from Rainwater Botanicals is one of my favorites for treating acne, but better yet is the fact that all Rainwater Botanicals products are super affordable (some are $10 or less), produced in the USA from organic and wild crafted ingredients, and they use recycled packaging and sustainable materials. They have loads of products that I love and you can learn more about them in a post I did here.

The Problem Solver Face Mask

The Problem Solver Mask by May Lindstrom is my favorite face mask to date and with good reason – it’s made with all natural ingredients including cacao, bamboo charcoal, and various natural minerals and clays so it literally comes from the earth. Also, all of the products by May Lindstrom come in reusable glass containers so there’s no plastic waste. Aside from the fact that it’s completely naturally formulated, this face mask works seriously well at clearing, calming, and toning the skin. It’s better than any mask I’ve tried yet. You can see my review for it here. Aside from this mask, they also have other fantastic products including The Good Stuff Radiance Oil which is amazing for getting that dewy glow look. You can see a post I did on how to use it here.

Karen Murrell lipsticks are some of the most sustainable lip products I’ve ever seen. They have some serious high standards set to them and they’ve really held up against them. The lipstick containers themselves and the packaging are all made with biodegradable, recycled or plant materials. The lipstick tube itself starts biodegrading back to the earth in 100 days which is something I’ve never heard of for any product let alone a lipstick. The lipsticks as products are not only extremely hydrating, but they smell amazing and have lovely, trendy colors that look great on any skin tone. I actually haven’t met a KM lippie I didn’t like. They are cruelty free, sustainable, locally sourced and traceable, ECOCERT, green house gas neutral, and made with all natural and organic ingredients. They are my favorite HG lipsticks. You can see the original post I did on them here.

Konjac Sponges are make facial cleansing simple, clean and green. They’re made from konjac, a kind of potato found in Japan, and various clays so they are entirely biodegradable. In fact, after a few months they actually begin to fall apart and literally degrade. They work really well to cleanse and soften skin without stripping it of it’s natural oils while also brightening, gently exfoliating and calming. Plus, they’re super cheap at only $9 each. You can see my original post on them here.

The Suti Cleanse Organic Balm is, hands down, the best cleansing balm I’ve ever tried. It’s super hydrating, cleansing, calming, and doesn’t clog pores. It comes with a muslin cloth so you can even use it to gently exfoliate skin without drying it out or irritating it. Made with all organic plant oils and butter, this balm can be used as a cleanser, moisturizer, face mask and exfoliant. The balm is made with a certified organic formula and comes in a reusable glass jar. You can see my original post on it here.

Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set

ECO Tools have some amazing brushes and they’re super sustainably made from bamboo and other sustainable materials. They work really well for applying makeup and even skincare products. I’ve used their smaller eye brushes to apply eye cream before and that works really well. Also, their shower gloves are amazing as well for body exfoliation.

Travel Set

Living Nature products are some of the best natural products I’ve tried. They offer a wide range of skincare and cosmetic products which are all really nice. They use exotic ingredients found in New Zealand and other naturally sustainable plant oils and extracts in order to soothe, hydrate and heal skin. I love how gentle their products are and they can definitely be used on any skin type, including sensitive. You can see my original post on their products here.

Antonia Burrell‘s Natural Glow Cleansing Oil is the best cleansing oil I’ve found for acne prone skin types, but it will definitely work well for any other skin type as well. It’s very gentle, calming and nourishing without being heavy. Aside from that, it comes in a reusable glass jar, is made from all natural and sustainable plant ingredients that actually work for skin without harming the environment.

All-in-One Snail Repair Cream

All-in-One Snail Repair Cream – peachandlily.com

{Disclaimer – This cream was sent to me for review from PeachandLily.com}

This is going to sound bizarre to those of you who haven’t heard the latest Korean beauty craze.

That’s right, I’m talking snails.

Okay, not snails, but snail extract on your face.

{ I’ll give all you newbies a second to let that sink in… }

Don’t you dare click away and let me cope with this weirdness on my own!

If you’re completely new to this Korean beauty craze, then let me enlighten you all to a whole new world of beautiful strangeness. The Korean beauty industry has recently released a host of creams from various brands featuring an odd new ingredient – you guessed it – snail mucus extract. According to those headlining this new beauty trend, they claim that the mucus from snails has the power to heal, rejuvenate and hydrate skin in a powerful way.

Anyway 🙂

So, it’s my very first “snail cream” beauty experience and, as much as I seriously hate admitting to it, it’s been awesome! First of all, I just want to clarify a bit for those of you who might think there is straight up snail mucus or ground up snail shell in this cream because that’s definitely not the case. It’s actually all very scientific. The cream simply includes a 92% concentration of “snail extract” which is from the mucus of snails (gross, at first look…), but is dried, purified and turned into a powdered extract before it ever gets near your finished cream so I suppose it’s not all bad once you get down to it.

Is it weird? Only when I think about it.

I was actually expecting this cream to have a bizarre scent or texture ( or maybe bits of snail residue in it ), but this cream is seriously nice and also, thankfully, pleasantly scented in an inoffensive way. In many ways, this cream feels much like any other when applied, though it is seriously hydrating without being heavy and sinks in near instantly. It does have a slight stickiness to it, but that goes away in 30 minutes or less after the cream sinks into the skin. Once it does, there’s no residue left behind or anything.

Once you get passed to fact that this includes snail mucus in the formula, it really is lovely. The cream itself comes in a very luxurious glass jar and a little bit of this cream goes quite a long way. Although it’s marketed as a repair cream for aging and things, I really think any skin type could use this safely, even sensitive and acne prone skin types. My advice is to exfoliate properly before applying this and to only use it at night as it may cause a bit of oiliness if you have oily to combination skin.

I’ve been using this cream for nearly a month now and I can honestly say it’s improved my overall skin texture, smoothed some fine lines, improved the hydration levels of my skin, and even diminished some acne scarring. I don’t think it does anything for acne, really, but it doesn’t exacerbate any existing blemishes nor does it cause any new ones so that’s a major plus for me when it comes to creams. I highly recommend this cream as one to consider if you’re new to this whole snail cream phenomena and you want to give it a go.

I was reading an article the other day on Heart IFB about the importance of vulnerability in blogging and the value of being your true, authentic self for your readers. It definitely makes sense and it got me thinking about how important it is for me, as a blogger and a person, to be authentic and real when it comes to blogging.

For me, it’s not about fame or whatever in blogging, it’s just about being known, being heard over the massive chatter that is the internet.

I read so many blogs and while many of them are awesome, thought-provoking, and interesting to read about, a lot of them have what I would call a typical “blogger voice” which the blogger will use to either sound professional, interesting, etc. It’s not that this is bad, but more than that, it’s just tired and boring at this point with so many others doing the same thing all the time.

The mass of blog posts begin to feel like a wave of commercials in my head all at once which can be exhausting instead of enjoyable to read.

I realize I’m not always following the herd with what I blog, but at the end of the day, it’s my blog and while I’d like the information to be interesting and fun for my readers, I also want it to be fun for me.

After all, I don’t get paid to do this; I simply enjoy it.

Also, it is super important for me to be authentic in my writing, whether it’s here on my blog or anywhere else because that is, in my opinion, the best way to get someone’s attention and really make them think and consider what you write. Not that I’m writing revolutionary stuff here on beauty, fashion and lifestyle, but they are my honest and true thoughts.

I hope that says something, even if the only message is who I am and nothing more – I’ll be content with that.

Anyhow, if you would like to read the article on HeartIFB, you can see their post on this topic here. Apologies for my bit of a ramble on this, but it brings me to an idea that all of this nonsense spawned which is the tag below! I created it, but I hope you guys will do the tag, pass it on, have fun and all that jazz.

I hope it helps you channel your own authentic self and sense of blogging vulnerability… or whatever.

*Side Note: Special thanks to the amazing HeartIFB writers for bringing the topic to mind & inspiring this tag!*

  2. Link back to & Thank the person who tagged you.
  3. Answer the questions, Confess 5 Random Things About Yourself & Add your own confessions, if you like!
  4. Tag others to do the tag, let them know you’ve tagged them & pass it on!
  5. Keep being awesome 😉

  1. What is your main goal in blogging? My main goal is to meet people, do beauty swaps, try tons of beauty products, share my favorite things with others, express myself and hopefully I can help people a bit along the way. It would also be awesome if my posts made someone smile each day.
  2. Why did you start your blog? I started my blog as a way to express myself and connect with others who are passionate about the same things as me.
  3. How do you feel about paid bloggers v. unpaid bloggers? I don’t really think one is better or worse than the other. In my opinion, bloggers are bloggers. Some are good, some are not, some are just okay, and some are exceptional. If you are fortunate enough to get paid to do what you love, that’s fantastic, but if you do it as a hobby and not for compensation, that’s great too.
  4. To ombre or not to ombre in beauty? Yes in beauty! Just not in clothing. To me, ombre in fashion just looks like a new age tie dye. Ew.
  5. Love it or hate it – BB, CC, Etc. Creams? I really love the OG Korean BB Creams, but it’s getting super tired now that it’s so mainstream. I still love them, but I just think the term BB cream is now being tossed around like hot cakes without any real integrity so now it’s a bit unfortunate and confusing for consumers.
  6. What do you think the meaning of fashion is? To express yourself, to inspire change, to provoke thought, to empower, to seduce, to make others smile, to instill a rebellious spirit, and to brighten a cloudy day.

5 Random Confessions About Me:

  1. My favorite dessert is movie theater popcorn with peanut M&Ms.
  2. I would like Oingo Boingo’s “Dead Man’s Party” to play at my funeral and I want everyone to dance and celebrate like it’s a party so I can hover all ghost-like and be like ” DANCE MORTALS!” Just kidding. About the ghost bit, that is.
  3. When I was 15, I told several people I had premonitions and then proceeded to act faint all the time when I was having said “premonitions”. That is probably the stupidest lie I’ve ever told, but I was really obsessed with this book series. Don’t judge!
  4. After my boyfriend broke up with me in high school for hanging out with my friends more than with him, I didn’t much care, but I felt so bad for him (he seemed more upset about it than me) that I staged an elaborate scheme where I wrote how much I loved him in a notebook and “accidentally” let him find it. He proceeded to act really creeped out by my “love” haha. I just didn’t want him to be sad over me.
  5. When I was in elementary school, I would annually sing and/or dance for my entire family on holidays. No joke. I would choreograph the dances myself and/or sing into a microphone my dad bought me. The dances were pretty awful and in true parenting fashion, my parents have recorded many of these. I’m pretty sure it’s for future blackmail purposes, but that’s just me.

So, after all those confessions, Are we, like, BFFs now? 😀

I hope you enjoyed this post and sorry for the massive length, but hopefully you don’t mind too much!

I tag anyone and everyone who wants to do this tag. If you don’t have a blog, feel free to post your answers in the comments – I would love to read your answers! If you have a blog, please link me to your post if you do the tag.

My amazing boyfriend bought me a bunch of beauty goodies online as early birthday presents and this amazing Balearic Love Palette from Becca Cosmetics is one of them! I received it last week technically, but I’ve been loving it this week for doing my brows. It’s super natural looking and subtle, but buildable so you can make the look more bold as well, if you like. The best part about this palette? Normal retail price is $49.99, but I got it for $25 via AllCosmeticsWholesale.com – a discount beauty site. They have some AMAZING stuff there for low prices. A lot of the stuff is usually last season or whatever, but the pricing you can’t beat as it’s mostly always half regular price.  They have loads of brands available as well so definitely check it out – it’s one of my favorite places to bargain beauty shop, especially for higher end brands like Lancome, Dior, Armani, etc.

I have been SO obsessed with this yogurt from Chobani – it’s yummy coconut greek yogurt with dark chocolate chips and almond slices and it is AMAZING! It is sooo good, especially if, like me, you love coconut, chocolate and almonds. It’s a nice healthy snack for between meals as well.

I’ve re-purposed my vitamin E capsules to use topically on my face and it’s been working wonders for my skin, especially the skin around my eyes. Find out more about how I’ve been using these in a post I did here.

My quote of the week or maybe even month – I have it written on my bathroom mirror in dry erase ( a great way to take notes by the way! ).

“It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not.”

I picked this up last weekend from TJ Maxx home goods section for nearly half price of regular organic coconut oil and I have been using half as a face/body moisturizer and the other half to cook with. Man, TJ Maxx is a DANGEROUS place for me! They have such amazing deals. I can’t believe we spent nearly 2 hours browsing and we only looked through the home goods side. Imagine how long I’d have spent there if I went through the clothing, shoes and purses. Anyone else feel as tempted by the TJ Maxx deals as me?

This was Wednesday’s dinner – build your own chicken salad and SO delicious!

I had mine with mixed greens, tomatoes, artichokes, cucumbers, chicken, avocado, and some homemade dijon vinaigrette which you can make in literally 5 seconds. I just mix about 1 tbs. dijon mustard with 1/2 part water and 1/2 part balsamic vinegar with a pinch of sea salt and Italian seasoning. I blend it all together with a fork and voilà! So delicious and healthy!

Sephora’s Chic Week has begun! I’m going to be doing more shopping than I should thanks to this!!

I finally received the last of my early birthday beauty gifts that my boyfriend ordered for me – so thrilled! I received the RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up, Tangle Teezer in Tangerine, a refill of my beloved Alpha-H Balancing Moisturizer + Gentle Exfoliant, and some awesome Beauty Habit samples! So excited to try all of these out! So far I love the Tangle Teezer, though it works much better on dry hair than wet.

How Was Your Week/end?

I’d love to chat with you in the comments!

Nuxe Aroma Perfection Masque Unclogging Thermo Actif Face Mask

I was super excited when The Beauty Box sent me this awesome face mask by Nuxe Skincare as I’d never tried a Nuxe product before, but I’d heard loads of good things around many of the blogs that I follow.

First off, if you’re unfamiliar with Nuxe Skincare, they are a higher end skincare company that offer tons of beauty products, especially skincare, and often feature many botanical ingredients in their product formulations.

This face mask – the Aroma Perfection Unclogging Thermo Actif Mask – includes a variety of skin beneficial ingredients such as kaolin clay, rice powder, various plant extracts, hyaluronic acid, and various natural acids to help slough off dead skin cells and reveal healthier, clearer and more even toned skin that is hydrated and radiant.

The mask itself feels really gooey, but has a sandy like texture that feels a lot more like a scrub than a face mask. When applied to skin, it immediately warms up so you definitely feel the “thermo actif” bit they mention in the name. It doesn’t burn or anything – it just feels quite warm. It’s meant to be massaged into the skin gentle for about a minute or so and then left on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing it off.

I really love that this feels like a face scrub and mask in one and the heating bit is really a nice touch that makes you feel like the mask is “working,” but the effects speak for themselves. After using this, my skin felt soft, hydrated, calm and clear, and more even toned. This is a fantastic face mask to use if you are short on time, but want to get the quick results that more time consuming face masks will give you because this does it in less time.  Another great thing about this mask is that it’s one of the more affordably priced items from Nuxe so you don’t have to break the bank to get hold of one. It’s a simple way to exfoliate and treat your skin all at once and I definitely recommend it.

You can check it out on The Beauty Box – here.

Activaroma Pure Argan Oil

I was recently sent a small sample of this Pure Argan Oil from Activaroma by The Beauty Box and have really loved using it.

If you’re unfamiliar with argan oil, it’s an oil that comes from the nuts of the argan trees found in Morocco. What marks argan oil as unique from some other various plant oils is the fact that argan has an especially high content of vitamin E and essential fatty acids which are critical for restoring dryness and damage in skin.

Activaroma says that this oil will diminish fine lines and wrinkles, heal spots and blemishes, stretch marks and scars, and restore strength to brittle hair and nails.

I’ve been using this in various ways for about a month and I really do like this oil. The sample I received was pretty small so I haven’t experimented with it on my body or hair as there was not really enough oil to go around, but on my face and nails, this was lovely.

It is very hydrating to the skin while also feeling light and definitely helps combat dryness and dull skin. I really felt like it made my skin look more dewy, glowy and just overall more healthy in condition. I have combination acne prone skin, but this didn’t irritate or break me out – actually I’m convinced it’s helped my breakouts heal more quickly. It smooths the skin’s texture and seems to make scars lessen, though I’m not sure if it would make them diminish completely as I’ve run out of oil. As for my nails, this oil is fantastic for dry cuticles and nails and really does seem to strengthen them.

The full size bottle of this oil comes in a 2 ounce glass bottle which looks pretty luxurious – much like a classy bottle of perfume. I would really enjoy putting it on display as the packaging is really lovely. My only complaints about this oil are that the oil isn’t organic and there’s no note on the sustainability of how it was sourced or grown which I personally like to know about. Also, it’s pretty steep at $55 for 2 ounces of argan oil, but the quality and effectiveness is certainly there so if the price and origin of the product don’t bother you, I say go for it because it’s absolutely a quality product.

Check it out on The Beauty Box – here.

I’ve recently discovered this new and super easy treatment for my eye area – vitamin E capsules!

I know it sounds weird, but it’s actually really effective on things like broken capillaries, dryness, fine lines, and even a bit of brightening to the entire eye area, but that may be due to the fact that it’s more hydrated.

I love to use these vitamin E capsules rather than straight vitamin E oil because they’re just the perfect size to pop open with the end of your tweezers  and squeeze out the tiniest amounts straight out of the capsule wherever you might need the extra nourishment. It does feel a bit oily and thick, but you only need a small amount and I use them right before bed so it doesn’t much bother me.

When I wake up in the morning, my capillaries have shrunk in size, the whole area of my eyes looks brighter, more hydrated, youthful and smooth!

I’ve been storing the capsules in an old Steamcream tin, but you can keep them in the bottle, however you like – I just put them in this tin because I thought it saved on space this way instead of trying to find a spot for the huge pill bottle they were initially in.

So, what do you guys think of using vitamin E for beauty?

Are there any DIY type beauty things you do that is re-purposed from something else like this?

I’d love to know in the comments!
