What Happens When Skincare + Foundation Have A Baby? – RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Review

RMS Un-Cover Up – 11

{This is not a sponsored post. I purchased this item with my own money of my own free will. I am not associated or affiliated with anyone mentioned in this post, other than Beauty Habit, who I occasionally get sent samples from for review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are honest and completely my own.}

I recently picked the RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Cream Foundation + Concealer in shade 11 at Beauty Habit and I am loving this!

One thing I really love about it is that, for being totally natural and organic, it has fantastic coverage, finish and it actually benefits the skin while you’re wearing it.

First off, if you’re unfamiliar with the RMS Beauty brand, it is a totally organic and natural beauty brand that offers pretty synergistic products. Some are simply skincare types while others are makeup products infused with skincare benefits. They mainly utilize the brilliance of organic coconut oil to offer tinted balms, concealer + foundation, lip and cheek tints, and cream eye shadows.

RMS Un-Cover Up Impressive Ingredients List:
*Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol(non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499].

The Un-Cover Up is a product I have been wanting to try for ages, but it is a little price for a small pot of it ( $36 ) so I wanted to wait for a special occasion and I finally got it for my birthday!

I was really skeptical when I first received this in the mail because #1 I had never actually tried a cream foundation before and I was worried it might break me out and #2 It was pretty expensive and while my expectations were high due to the hype surrounding this product, so were my doubts.

I am so thrilled this actually turned out to be a fantastic base product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants natural looking, but decent coverage in a foundation that will benefit your skin over time and has minimal ingredients.

The finish of this is very smooth on the skin and surprisingly hydrating. It seems like it would be oily on the skin, but it actually only looks dewy if you apply a few layers. If you apply a thin layer, it dries down to a soft focus, almost matte finish. I think this would be awesome for any skin type and it won’t clog pores or irritate skin at all. It can be used with or without a separate concealer – I’ve used it alone and with another concealer without any trouble and both looked really nice.

Overall, I really love this product!

It’s great for days when I really don’t want to wear makeup, but still want to look put together.

I love that it is capable of full coverage, but will let my skin breathe and I love that it has minimal ingredients. Lastly, I really love that it has a base of coconut oil which hydrates and conditions the skin while I wear it. If you want a makeup base product that is organic, has minimal ingredients, and will benefit rather than harm your skin in the long run, it’s absolutely worth a try. My only major complaint for this product is that the shade options are minimal and they don’t have any options for darker skin tones so it’s not really suitable for women of color or who have dark tans. I really hope they come out with more shades so everyone can give this a go because it’s fantastic!

A new line that I am in the progress of slowly releasing will consist of matte face powders, bronzers, blushes and possibly highlighters, this line of matte face powders is just the first in a line of healing powders meant to help heal your skin issues while you wear it.

Created with a variety of healing botanical powders, mica, iron oxides, and more, this face powder does makeup in an entirely new way.

I made this powder with my own skin in mind.

I have oily to combination skin that will breakout to even most mineral powders. Because of this, I sought other avenues to find a good mineral powder that would not highlight breakouts, would treat them, and would make my skin look good all at the same time.

The only problem is that no such powder exists. Sure, I’ve tried treatment powders. Some work and some don’t. Many use talc and bismuth oxychloride, both of which inevitably clogged my pores and caused more breakouts. Other acne treatment powders worked okay enough, but the amount of powder was negligible (less than 1/2 Oz. of powder) and the price was almost always nearly high.

This is basically what led me to develop my own face powder.

I sought to combine the healing aspects of botanical plant powders with the staying power of mica and iron oxides, while still soothing and calming breakouts and treating them at the same time. And to top it off, I wanted a nice matte powder that wouldn’t look cakey, ashy or dull, but instead would impart a subtle inner glow.

Many treatment powders made me look extremely off color or like I was wearing LOADS more makeup than I actually was which sort of defeats the purpose of wearing minerals in the first place.

Although I initially developed this with myself in mind, it will work for all skin types including dry skin, sensitive skin and skin with specific sensitivities such as eczema, rosacea and acne.

My custom healing face powders are custom made to your shade. Although I have only listed 3 main shades on the Storybook Apothecary Etsy Shop, I can make a custom shade for you if you convo me through Etsy or shoot me an email at TiannaSicilia@yahoo.com.

Please note: Fair is for extremely fair to light complexions, Beige is for Light to Medium complexions and Chocolate is made specially for dark skinned complexions with a special focus on African American women. It will NOT make your skin look ashy! I specifically tested these shades on these skin complexions, including the Chocolate shade to ensure it would wear well without any ashiness or dry look to it. I am very proud; it looks fantastic AND smells like chocolate!

These powders come in a 20 gram twist and lock sifter jar, filled to the brim with powder, so you are getting your money’s worth with very little mess or wasted powder.

So, I hope you will find a great product in these powders as both a treatment and makeup.

Finally you can fall asleep with your makeup on and NOT feel that dreaded next morning guilt!
