RMS Un-Cover Up – 11

{This is not a sponsored post. I purchased this item with my own money of my own free will. I am not associated or affiliated with anyone mentioned in this post, other than Beauty Habit, who I occasionally get sent samples from for review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are honest and completely my own.}

I recently picked the RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Cream Foundation + Concealer in shade 11 at Beauty Habit and I am loving this!

One thing I really love about it is that, for being totally natural and organic, it has fantastic coverage, finish and it actually benefits the skin while you’re wearing it.

First off, if you’re unfamiliar with the RMS Beauty brand, it is a totally organic and natural beauty brand that offers pretty synergistic products. Some are simply skincare types while others are makeup products infused with skincare benefits. They mainly utilize the brilliance of organic coconut oil to offer tinted balms, concealer + foundation, lip and cheek tints, and cream eye shadows.

RMS Un-Cover Up Impressive Ingredients List:
*Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol(non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499].

The Un-Cover Up is a product I have been wanting to try for ages, but it is a little price for a small pot of it ( $36 ) so I wanted to wait for a special occasion and I finally got it for my birthday!

I was really skeptical when I first received this in the mail because #1 I had never actually tried a cream foundation before and I was worried it might break me out and #2 It was pretty expensive and while my expectations were high due to the hype surrounding this product, so were my doubts.

I am so thrilled this actually turned out to be a fantastic base product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants natural looking, but decent coverage in a foundation that will benefit your skin over time and has minimal ingredients.

The finish of this is very smooth on the skin and surprisingly hydrating. It seems like it would be oily on the skin, but it actually only looks dewy if you apply a few layers. If you apply a thin layer, it dries down to a soft focus, almost matte finish. I think this would be awesome for any skin type and it won’t clog pores or irritate skin at all. It can be used with or without a separate concealer – I’ve used it alone and with another concealer without any trouble and both looked really nice.

Overall, I really love this product!

It’s great for days when I really don’t want to wear makeup, but still want to look put together.

I love that it is capable of full coverage, but will let my skin breathe and I love that it has minimal ingredients. Lastly, I really love that it has a base of coconut oil which hydrates and conditions the skin while I wear it. If you want a makeup base product that is organic, has minimal ingredients, and will benefit rather than harm your skin in the long run, it’s absolutely worth a try. My only major complaint for this product is that the shade options are minimal and they don’t have any options for darker skin tones so it’s not really suitable for women of color or who have dark tans. I really hope they come out with more shades so everyone can give this a go because it’s fantastic!

The Spring and Summer are all about being light and airy, fresh and renewed, and I think your fragrances during this time should really reflect that notion, don’t you?

I have tried out tons and tons of perfume samples and purchased many of my own as well and I thought I’d share some of my favorite fragrances for the season with you all!

Parfums de Nicolaï – L’Eau à la Folie Eau de Toilette – This is, hands down, my favorite fragrance for Spring! It’s a mixture of lime and vanilla-esque coconut. You can smells the citrus notes a lot on top, but when it’s dried down after a few hours, you’ll notice the sweeter scents so it’s always changing, but also really light and fresh which I love! I don’t normally care for citrus scents in my perfume as I prefer more deep, amber types, but this one is really pleasant and comes from a really unique brand that I can only find on Beauty Habit. I’ve actually purchased the small bottle of this because I love it so much!

Alice & Peter – Cheery Cherry Eau de Parfum – This is one that I’ve received as a sample with a Beauty Habit order and was surprised that I actually liked it! I thought it would be all fruity and that’s not something I’m particularly keen on, but this one is really nice and not too overpowering. It has floral and fruity notes all through the top, heart and base, but surprisingly isn’t sickeningly sweet and it might be because they balance it out with vanilla and caramel. I’m not sure what it is, really, that makes this so nice, but I love it and the packaging is adorable and cute!

i Profumi di Firenze – Plenilunio (Full Moon) – This is my favorite perfume EVER. It smells incredible. I think it would be a lovely fragrance for Spring and Summer evenings because, though it is light, it’s a bit more on the bolder side of things. The notes are all over the place, but they go together surprisingly well. They include mandarin and strawberries with amber, white musk and soft woods so it’s a nice, seamless blend of that deeper earthy scent with a bit of light sweetness that is amazing to me. I will definitely be purchasing this soon from Beauty Habit ( they have the exclusive on this one ), but it’s quite unique in that it’s handmade in small batches from Italy and you know what that means, right? Yep, it’s expensive !

Honore des Pres – Love Coconut Eau de Parfum – This is another nice scent for Spring and Summer, but especially nice for beachy summer days! It’s very much tropical in character because they’ve included coconut milk, tonka bean, vanilla bourbon, and organic coconut essence, but all of the sweetness is nicely balanced with a bit of white cedar and, oddly enough, coriander. It’s really light and lovely, but has that bit of tropical island coconut scent we all seem to associate with Bahamas and the beach.

True Natural EyeBright Peptide Serum

Awhile back, this eye serum was sent to me from True Natural for review and I’ve really enjoyed using it.  A natural beauty brand, True Natural uses all natural ingredients in their product formulas so their products are often lightweight and gentle, but really effective.

I’ve been testing this serum out for a good few months now and it’s definitely improved the condition of my entire eye area. It utilizes a number of natural plant oils, extracts and super hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid in order to moisturize and brighten the eye area, thereby improving discoloration, under eye circles, dryness, and broken capillaries.

After using this for a few months, I don’t know that I saw a huge difference in my under eye circles. They are still present, but less so. Actually, the main reason I really like this serum for my eye area is because it’s not only super gentle and non-irritating, but it has definitely helped hydrate my often dry under eyes and it’s also seemed to improve the condition of broken capillaries I have in the inner corners of my eyes from rubbing them a bit too often. All this coupled together has made a big difference in the overall appearance of my eyes, lending them a more youthful and healthy look.

I do wish they had done more for my dark circles, but then I know the dark circles I do have are due, in large part, to my genetics so I realize there’s only so much improvement that can be made with topical treatments, but this certainly comes close and as a standard light eye serum, this is a great choice. I think those with oily skin will really benefit because it’s light enough that it doesn’t clog under eye pores, but nourishing enough that you’ll see a difference.
