What Happens When Skincare + Foundation Have A Baby? – RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Review

RMS Un-Cover Up – 11

{This is not a sponsored post. I purchased this item with my own money of my own free will. I am not associated or affiliated with anyone mentioned in this post, other than Beauty Habit, who I occasionally get sent samples from for review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are honest and completely my own.}

I recently picked the RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up Cream Foundation + Concealer in shade 11 at Beauty Habit and I am loving this!

One thing I really love about it is that, for being totally natural and organic, it has fantastic coverage, finish and it actually benefits the skin while you’re wearing it.

First off, if you’re unfamiliar with the RMS Beauty brand, it is a totally organic and natural beauty brand that offers pretty synergistic products. Some are simply skincare types while others are makeup products infused with skincare benefits. They mainly utilize the brilliance of organic coconut oil to offer tinted balms, concealer + foundation, lip and cheek tints, and cream eye shadows.

RMS Un-Cover Up Impressive Ingredients List:
*Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol(non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499].

The Un-Cover Up is a product I have been wanting to try for ages, but it is a little price for a small pot of it ( $36 ) so I wanted to wait for a special occasion and I finally got it for my birthday!

I was really skeptical when I first received this in the mail because #1 I had never actually tried a cream foundation before and I was worried it might break me out and #2 It was pretty expensive and while my expectations were high due to the hype surrounding this product, so were my doubts.

I am so thrilled this actually turned out to be a fantastic base product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants natural looking, but decent coverage in a foundation that will benefit your skin over time and has minimal ingredients.

The finish of this is very smooth on the skin and surprisingly hydrating. It seems like it would be oily on the skin, but it actually only looks dewy if you apply a few layers. If you apply a thin layer, it dries down to a soft focus, almost matte finish. I think this would be awesome for any skin type and it won’t clog pores or irritate skin at all. It can be used with or without a separate concealer – I’ve used it alone and with another concealer without any trouble and both looked really nice.

Overall, I really love this product!

It’s great for days when I really don’t want to wear makeup, but still want to look put together.

I love that it is capable of full coverage, but will let my skin breathe and I love that it has minimal ingredients. Lastly, I really love that it has a base of coconut oil which hydrates and conditions the skin while I wear it. If you want a makeup base product that is organic, has minimal ingredients, and will benefit rather than harm your skin in the long run, it’s absolutely worth a try. My only major complaint for this product is that the shade options are minimal and they don’t have any options for darker skin tones so it’s not really suitable for women of color or who have dark tans. I really hope they come out with more shades so everyone can give this a go because it’s fantastic!

Chantecaille Radiance Anti-Aging Bronzer Gel

You may remember me posting this lust list back in June where I featured this as something I really wanted to try. Well I was so fortunate because Beauty Habit sent me a little sample of this stuff! (Thanks BH ladies!)

This is like no bronzer I’ve ever used; it’s a really light and watery type gel that doesn’t break me out even though it is a liquid. A little bit goes a long way so you only need a few dots to highlight cheeks and a bit more to give your entire face some beach summery color without looking orange or unnatural. Plus, there’s no glitter and a nice amount of golden shimmer without it looking over the top and it doesn’t give unnecessary attention to flaws or anything.

Check out the Swatches:

You can see that it gives a really natural color with just a bit of golden shimmer.

Other Benefits According to Beauty Habit‘s Site:

• The weightless and ultra-moisturizing fomula blends easily, adding touch of sun to any complexion without the look of makeup.
• Raspberry Stem Cells repair DNA damage, and prevent inflammation and the absoprtion of free radicals.
• A Youth-Preserving Bearberry Complex provides anti-glycation and anti-oxidant benefits.
• A new polymer provides extraordinary smoothness, natural finish and luminosity for up to 12 hours.
• Vegetal-derived squalane improves skin’s elasticity.

I don’t know that I’ve really seen the stem cell damage repair effects, but one can only hope! This is also super moisturizing, but it’s not oily or shiny. Although I only got a small sample, I’ll definitely be purchasing when this one runs out. It’s a great bronzer for days when I don’t want to wear makeup or if I wear liquid foundation, this look more natural than a powder bronzer. I highly recommend it, though it is a little expensive, it will last you a LONG time. It’s so pigmented that I’ve been using my sample for a couple weeks now and it still looks 3/4 full so I think it’s great for the value.

Impromptu Makeup Look OTD: Peachy Orange Coral Inspiration!

This is a random photo of me taken right before I walked out the door to hang with friends!

Lately I’ve been really obsessed with orange, peach, and coral colors so I’ve been experimenting a lot and I really loved this look so of course I had to post about it!

It’s actually my first every makeup look OTD so I hope you like it!

It may surprise you to know that the orange peachy color I’ve used on my eyes isn’t sold as an eye shadow, but actually a blush. I was really pleasantly surprised that this even worked for me at all given I’m really pretty pale and it’s orange. I thought that it would make me look sickly for some reason, but instead, my friend said it made me look younger and more refreshed so that’s great! Also, this look was done in a rush and I pretty much threw everything together as I was hurrying to go out. I’m quite sure it’s a stroke of luck it’s turned out this well, but I hope you all enjoy!

Here are the Products I Used:

For My Face:

For My Eyes:

  • Makeup Forever Eye Shadow in “No. 101” (All over the lid and on top of No. 25)
  • Makeup Forever Blush Powder in “No. 25” (directly in the crease of my eyes and blend outward to create a smokey look and underneath the outer eye corners)
  • generic gold shimmer shadow (inner corner of the eyes and under the eyes)

For My Lips:

I am really loving this look for the daytime. It’s really easy to do and has a really nice effect! It actually gave me a nice “glow” which surprised me because that wasn’t my original intention. It’s pretty ironic considering I’m always trying so hard to get that “glow” look and I end up looking ridiculously shiny or oily, but the one time I don’t intend for it, it happens. Bizarre. Anyhow! I hope you enjoy this look and maybe incorporate your own version as a fun summer look for daytime because I think it has a really lovely effect that is subtle, not at all overpowering or dramatic for the day, but just a nice flattering look that anyone can wear!

What do you guys think of this look?

Wednesday Lust List : More Summer Beauty Products I’m Dying To Try!

So I was browsing online as I normally do when I’m bored and found so many lovely beauty products that I want to try (as usual) ! Most of them I found on the awesome beauty website, BeautyHabit.Com, but some are from other places.

Check Them Out:

Becca Cosmetics’ Creme Stain Beach Tint in Grapefruit (Coral Pinkish Color); $25

For some reason, lately I’m all about multi-tasking beauty products and this looks awesome! From the very lovely Becca Cosmetics, this lip and cheek creme stain is oil free, waterproof and streak free. It contains vitamin E for hydration and is paraben and preservative free.

Chantecaille Radiance Gel Bronzer Anti-Age; $54

I have no idea why I want to try this really, but it just seems like a cool product.

A light hydrating bronzer / complexion enhancer type product, this is meant to give the skin a subtle glow and just a small amount of color.

The “Anti-Aging” formula includes raspberry stem cells to help repair damage, protect from free radicals and prevent inflammation. Also included is bearberry complex for brightening, anti-glycation (what the hell does this mean?), and antioxidant protection.

It claims it will last up to 12 hours and at $54, it BETTER!

Check it out- here!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Glide Concealer in Thalia; $27

A light chunky crayon type concealer, this is said to be light and creamy.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Manet; $34

A really pretty cheek stain, I just really like this peachy coral color!

ISUN Antioxidant Sun Butter; $38

This is a completely natural sun protector that utilizes a host of natural ingredients and extracts as well as zinc oxide to protect you from the sun in a more natural way.

Chock full of antioxidants, this is meant to protect you from UV damage while also hydrating and nourishing skin.

Check it out – here!

ISUN Photo-Enzyme Serum; $40

This takes an after sun treatment a step further by repairing DNA damage done to the skin from UVA exposure.

It claims to help calm redness and damaged caused from sun exposure.

You’re meant to use it before the ISUN Butter (see above) and after you’re done being in the sun to prevent and treat damage to the skin.

Check it out – here!

Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls in Sunkissed; $11

This is just a much cheaper dupe of the Guerlain Meteorites that I want to try before I make a decision on whether or not to buy the actual Guerlain Meteorites powder. Yep!

Coming Soon! Organic Manuka Honey & Bee Venom Face Masks

Lately in the skincare world, especially in the world of high end high priced (or overpriced as I like to say), there has been a LOT of talk about Bee Venom masks, the  exotic benefits of Manuka Honey and the anti aging, anti acne, and overall skin health benefits this sort of mask can offer. Reviews are in for the Bee Venom mask by Manuka Doctor and people love it.

So I thought, why not offer a similar bee venom mask myself including certified organic manuka honey with bee venom, natural and organic oils, and natural botanical powders, clays and extracts that will give you the same benefits that the whopping $86 Manuka Doctor Bee Venom mask promises consumers without the hefty price tag.

After bouncing this idea off friends, family and customers, I have decided that this is definitely going to be something I want to offer customers, especially those who want a product that works just as well if not better than the high end, overpriced masks, but for a fraction of the price.

I will be doing a focus group trial run in the coming weeks to perfect a formulation so if anyone is interested in trying the product and answering questions for me, you get a free sample size amount of the product to test on yourself and then answer a questionnaire for me.

Feel free to email me at tiannasicilia@yahoo.com if you’re interested for more information.

Thanks!

Stay Beautiful
