This past weekend I picked up some awesome goodies!

I had ordered some mineral powder foundation from Alima Pure and it arrived in the mail early Saturday morning. Later that day, I picked up some stuff from Sephora as well.

Check Out The Goods!

I’m so excited to have a full size of this powder foundation from Alima Pure; it’s absolutely incredible! If you want something that has the amazing coverage of MAC Studio Fix powder, but with a more conscious, eco, and natural track record, this is perfect! Plus, they’re made in the USA, in Oregon! Check out my original post on Alima Pure – here! I’m also super excited about the 2 samples I received as I haven’t tried their satin matte eye shadow or any of their eyeliners yet! I did get to try their latest eye shadow collection for the fall 2012, aptly called Stormy Weather! Check out my post on that eye shadow collection here.

I picked up the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil which is an interesting type of body wash. It goes on light a thick oil (you only need a small amount), but the oil turns into a milky lather once it hits water. I also got the Korres Dark Circle and Spot Concealer in Fair which comes in a pot. It has a really nice consistency and is meant to help conceal dark circles, spots and soften fine lines all at once. I really love this concealer so far! I will post on it once I’ve had a chance to properly test it out, but having used it twice already, I can say I love it already! It’s easily blended, brightens the entire eye area and covers spots really well also. More on these as soon as I’ve done some proper testing!

So, what do you think of the goodies?

Did you guys do any fun beauty shopping this weekend?

If so, what awesome stuff did you pick up?

I love L’Occitane (especially the hand cream) but I haven’t tried the almond shower gel yet.
The concealer looks great too, I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with it. My favourite is Laura Mercier Secret Concealer but I’m always interested in new products

Yeah too bad this shower oil smells like play doh. yuck. lol . no exaggeration on that either. it smells bizarre. I thought it would smell like their almond body oil which is lovely, but nope. smells gross. the concealer works really well to cover eye circles and spots, but it can irritate spots so I’ve only been using it for under eyes since I discovered that x

Ohhh goodies! Nice. I’m still looking for the right concealer, in fact I want an undereye one, and it has to be all natural. Just really hard to get the perfect one. Hmmmm would you have any suggestions?

missed this comment somehow sorry for the late reply! I have been spying some natural ones, but I haven’t tried many of them yet. Working on trying them out as I can. The Korres one has been really nice so far, but it’s not as natural as I’d like. Also it’s not very good for blemishes if you want them to heal at the same time. The concealer is amazing for coverage, but it can irritate spots. Amazing for under eye circles though!! If you want a concealer for blemishes Jane Iredale carries one I’ll be testing soon so stay tuned for that one. Also, Vapour Beauty has a concealer that’s also natural . and then UnCover Up has good reviews but never tried it . Hope this helps!

That L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil sounds very interesting…I must try that sometime. Great post! BTW, I tried the Bioderma at the weekend and I think it’s great at removing stubborn eye make up and it’s very gentle – didn’t irritate my eyes at all. I don’t think it’s any better than other French cleansing waters such as Vichy and Le Roche-Posay (and those are much easier to come by) but I think it’s a great one if your skin is super sensitive because it probably contains the least irritants.

It has been interesting. The only thing is the scent. I thought it’d be the same as the body oil (sweet almond), but it’s not. It smells, like..Play Doh. no joke lol. I can’t get past it. Anyway, def look into picking up the Bioderma! Thanks for the info x

yeah girl it’s nasty haha – It really killed it for me. I kept thinking of play doh like the whole time. wish sephora had the same return policy as macys. -sigh- it was like $20 ! x
