I have loved Juice Beauty for a few years now.
I first found out about them on YouTube and I haven’t really had a product of theirs that I didn’t like.
If you’re not familiar, Juice Beauty is an all natural cosmetics company that harnesses the powers of all natural fruit juices (most commonly they use apple juice and grape juice) in their formulations to achieve brighter, clearer and more naturally glowing complexions.
It is an all organic facial wash that is USDA Certified, non-foaming, and has a bit of a gel-like consistency.
(This image is actually not accurate IMO; my cleanser looks more orange-ish, not white, but anyway just an FYI)
I really love this face wash!
It feels light yet cleans very well without being drying, leaves my face a balanced matte, and has brightened my skin after a month of use.
Also, it includes a variety of organic oils, juices, extracts and essential oils for brightening and cleansing the skin which I love since they are all natural.
The only thing I don’t like about this face wash is the fact that is has a slight scent of alcohol, which I’m guessing comes from this ingredient – Organic Grape Alcohol Denatured.
It doesn’t dry my skin out so it’s not much of a concern, but the smell is a bit off-putting. I thought it might burn my eyes, but it hasn’t done so thus far.
Although it claims to be for all skin types, I think someone with dry skin might experience dryness as opposed to someone like me with combination (oily T zone) skin that is prone to breakouts and dullness.
Impressive Ingredient List:
Organic juices of vitis vinifera (organic white grape juice)*, pyrus malus (organic apple juice)*, aloe barbadensis (organic aloe leaf juice)*, organic plant oils of helianthus annuus (organic sunflower seed oil)*, simmondsia chinensis (organic jojoba seed oil)*, linum usitatissimum (organic linseed seed oil)*, borago officinalis (organic borage seed oil)*, oenothera biennis (organic evening primrose oil)*, organic grape alcohol denatured*, organic honey*, saccharum officinarum (organic sugar cane)*, tocopherol (vitamin E), organic botanical extracts of olea europaea (organic olive leaf extract)*, calendula officinalis (organic marigold flower extract)*, chamomilla recutita (organic matricaria flower extract)*, daucus carota sativa (organic carrot root extract)*, geranium maculatum (organic spotted cranesbill flower extract)* , helichrysum stoechas (organic eternal flower extract)*, melissa officinalis (organic lemon balm leaf extract)*, cyamopsis tetragonoloba (organic guar symbiosome extract)*, pelargonium graveolens (organic geranium)* and citrus aurantium (organic petitgrain)* pure essential oils *certified organic by a USDA approved agency
I would definitely recommend this face wash to those with combination – normal – oily skin types. It may be drying or irritating to those with dry or sensitive skin given the alcohol smell. I don’t know how your skin would react to that, but it doesn’t seem too abrasive as I haven’t had any reaction to it.
If you have combination to normal or a tendency toward dryness, this may also be drying to you.
I would definitely recommend a good moisturizer after using this facial wash.
It didn’t leave my skin tight, but it doesn’t leave a soft moisturized feeling for me either.
The effect might be different if you have more oily skin.
All in all, this is a great cleanser and with the coming summer months where I tend to get really oily, this will work perfectly for me!
OVERALL RATING: 8/10
For Dry/Sensitive skin types, check out the Juice Beauty Cleansing Milk.
It’s more moisturizing and gentle.
